When a new manager joined the team at Raukawa, it quickly became clear that the organisation didn’t have a structured system in place to manage information about their work. Much of the team’s planning and preparation was recorded informally, often written in personal diaries rather than captured in a central system.
Recognising the opportunity to improve how information was recorded and shared, the team began working closely with Wild Bamboo to develop a solution that better reflected the way they worked.
We were able to capture staff time we had never been recording before. Planning and preparation that once lived in our diaries is now part of the bigger picture.
Together, they implemented a system that allowed them to capture staff time and activity that had previously gone unrecorded. Planning, preparation, and the many small but important tasks that support frontline work could now be properly documented.
This change has helped the team build a clearer picture of the work they do and the impact it has.
With the right tools and support in place, the organisation is now better able to tell the stories that matter most – the stories of the people they support and the communities they serve.
